Stephen Skeggs make 1st cut

Well folks, the baseball season is officially about to get cranked up. This week, the C.W. Davis Middle School baseball program has officially launched. If you know our family, then you know that Stephen has been chomping at the bit to get out on the field and work as hard as he can to make this team. They made the first cut last night and he made that one. According to the coaches, there will be one final tryout today and they will make a final cut. It’s their plan to carry 20 players on the Roster. I know some of you might be thinking, wow, that seems like a lot, but this isn’t intended to be like travel baseball. It’s a feeder program for the High School team so the idea is that if a kid has good talent, let’s get them in the program early so they are playing even better by the time they get to the High School level.

We’re all excited about this opportunity for Stephen and hope that he makes the final cut today. If you wish, you can check back here on the blog tomorrow or Monday at the latest and find out how it went. Or, you can visit the Flowery Branch Baseball site and see the results.
